Life has been a bit of a drag for pretty much the whole world since the COVID-19 virus has started in late 2019. There are travel restrictions everywhere you turn. While restrictions are meant only for the safety of everyone, it has given a lot of us cabin fever…
While we here at Simple Beach Life do advocate the wise words of the Centers for Disease Control and the World Health Organization and agree that everyone should stay at home and keep to themselves in order to slow the spread of the virus, we know that there are plenty of risk takers and those who just want to try and escape from all as well as those who travel for work.
With that being said, in our new series, “Careful Traveling with COVID-19”, we’re going to discuss the safest and most sanitary ways of vacationing/traveling to hopefully try to prevent contracting, transmitting and otherwise dealing with the Coronavirus during your adventures!
Onto our 5 Safest Hotel Chains During COVID!
One of the most important questions in any vacation/travel planning is where in the world are we going to sleep when we get there? Well, as you’re probably aware, the Coronavirus has hit the tourism economy all over the world. This has resulted in sometimes massive cuts in hotel rates. You might be thinking to yourself, that sounds great! Well hold your horses for just a sec… While we all love saving money, we’re here to discuss safety. Each hotel brand has adopted their own procedures for cleanliness in a pandemic ridden world.
We’ve taken a look at hotel procedures and ranked what we believe to be the top five brands who are leading the charge in guest safety during the COVID-19 crisis. So grab your masks and stand six feet away, let’s jump on in!

Hilton tops our list due to the thorough nature of the “CleanStay” program that they launched to keep their guests secure. A part of the CleanStay program is a partnership with Lysol, who is one of the few brands that have products that most effectively kill the COVID-19 virus left behind on door handles, remotes, phones, etc. Check out more about CleanStay below!
